Ingredients

Directions

  • Step 1 :

    1. Marinate the Paneer In a bowl, combine smoked paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, chilli flakes, oregano, salt, and olive oil. Add paneer and gently coat all pieces evenly. Let it sit for about 5–10 minutes. Tip: Don’t skip reserving 1 tbsp marinade—it quietly carries the whole dish later.
  • Step 2 :

    2. Grill the Paneer Heat a pan (non-stick works best). Add a little oil. Place paneer pieces in a single layer. Cook on medium heat for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside. Don’t overcrowd the pan—paneer likes space, or it steams instead of browning.
  • Step 3 :

    3. Make the Creamy Sauce In the same or a new pan, heat oil/butter. Add chopped onions and sauté until soft and slightly translucent. Add the reserved marinade and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Lower the heat and pour in fresh cream. Stir gently and cook on low heat. Important: Turn off heat just before it starts boiling (cream can split if overheated).
  • Step 4 :

    4. Assemble the Bowl Add warm cooked rice to a serving bowl. Spoon the creamy sauce over or to the side. Arrange grilled paneer on top.
