  • Step 1 :

    1. Marinate the Paneer In a bowl, combine smoked paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, chilli flakes, oregano, salt, and olive oil. Add paneer and gently coat all pieces evenly. Let it sit for about 5โ€“10 minutes. Tip: Donโ€™t skip reserving 1 tbsp marinadeโ€”it quietly carries the whole dish later.
  • Step 2 :

    2. Grill the Paneer Heat a pan (non-stick works best). Add a little oil. Place paneer pieces in a single layer. Cook on medium heat for 2โ€“3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside. Donโ€™t overcrowd the panโ€”paneer likes space, or it steams instead of browning.
  • Step 3 :

    3. Make the Creamy Sauce In the same or a new pan, heat oil/butter. Add chopped onions and sautรฉ until soft and slightly translucent. Add the reserved marinade and cook for 1โ€“2 minutes until fragrant. Lower the heat and pour in fresh cream. Stir gently and cook on low heat. Important: Turn off heat just before it starts boiling (cream can split if overheated).
  • Step 4 :

    4. Assemble the Bowl Add warm cooked rice to a serving bowl. Spoon the creamy sauce over or to the side. Arrange grilled paneer on top.
