Step 1 :
Start with milk: Bring the milk to a gentle boil in a heavy-bottom pan.

Add rice: Drain the soaked rice and add it in. Keep the flame low to medium.

Slow cook: Let it simmer, stirring occasionally so it doesn’t stick. The rice will soften and the milk will start thickening (takes ~25–30 mins).

Step 4 :
Add flavour: Add sugar, cardamom, saffron, and dry fruits. Stir well.

Step 5 :
Finish: Cook for another 5–10 mins till it reaches a creamy consistency.
